Louisiana State Tax Update

Important Update on Louisiana Tax Withholding

The State of Louisiana has updated the calculation for their tax withholding, effective January 1, 2025. To accommodate this change, the following updates have been implemented in Accounting Master:

Packages | Payroll | Tax Table | State Taxes: A field labeled “Standard Deduction” has been added to the screen in the Tax Type Information section. This field is available for all Tax Types. The Standard Deduction field will only appear on the screen and should only be applied when the Effective Date is greater than or equal to January 1, 2025.

Packages | Payroll | Employee | Worked State Taxes: A new type, “No Standard Deduction,” has been added to the “Marital Status” dropdown menu for selection.
