MACC AI (Artificial Intelligence)

MACC AI is here! Meet MIMiR (MACC Internal Machine-learning Information Repository), an intuitive tool harnessing the power of Artificial Intelligence to get direct and fast answers to questions about MACCs software. MIMiR’s guidance assists users as they navigate through Accounting Master and Customer Master, offering another level of support at their fingertips with 24×7 availability.

A MACC AI (MIMiR) button was added to the lower right-hand corner of Customer Master and Accounting Master and provides another source where users can ask questions about the software and receive an instant response. The AI will query MACC software documentation to answer the questions. The MIMiR button will be available upon upgrade to 24.1.

Clicking the MACC AI button will open a chat with MIMiR and the screen appears on the right side of Customer Master. The user can type a question or paste copied text into the box. Using the Enter key will send the question to the MACC AI and an answer will be provided.

Each answer includes two feedback buttons, a Thumbs Up and a Thumbs Down button. Users are encouraged to use the feedback buttons especially to report occasional incorrect answers with the Thumbs Down button. The same question can be asked again, in a different way, and can result in a different answer. Questions are limited to one thousand characters.

When questions are asked the answer box contains a “Privacy Policy” link. When the link is clicked the following message appears in a pop-up box: “This feature contains proprietary and confidential information that is intended solely for the use of parties authorized by MACC. This information may not be copied nor disclosed or distributed to any party unless authorized by MACC.”

No Penalty Option for Delinquents

A new “No Penalty” option is now available for delinquent accounts, so users have the ability to send a late notice to an account, but keep the account from getting a penalty. An Expire Date, Alert, and reports are available for accounts flagged No Penalty.

A No Penalty check box was added to the Credit Node of the Service Order, with a corresponding Expire Date drop-down calendar. When checked, the account can receive a delinquent notice, but will not get a late fee during the Penalties process. The Expire Date can be set to limit the amount of time the account is exempt from penalties.

A No Penalty Alert is available for both Inquiry and Payments at Maintenance | Common | Alerts, and will display in the Alerts window for any accounts flagged No Penalty.

The Non-Zero Balance Report found in the report’s menu of the Delinquent process, contains a new No Penalty column to aid in identifying No Penalty accounts.

The Credit Attributes report, and the Grid Report – Account can be used to discover accounts flagged as No Penalty. The Credit Attributes report has a new group box for No Penalty Options, and the Grid Report – Account includes No Penalty, and No Penalty Expire Date selections.
