Importer: Update to Plant Assignment

The Plant Assignment feature in the Importer tool was altered to add Serving Equipment to the address based on the Serving Area assignment. With this update in place, when the tool is used to import Plant Assignment to addresses, if the address being imported has a Plant Area and Serving Area, any Serving Equipment tied to the Serving Area will also be populated on the address.

Tools | Mass Processing | Importer – Plant Assignment: The Plant Assignment Import Type can be used in the Importer tool to import Plant. When a Serving Area value is imported, any Serving Equipment tied to the Serving Area will also be populated at the address. In the example, Plant is being imported to an address and the Serving Area BLNE has the Serving Equipment Code “ONT” tied to it for Internet Network Types.

Once the import is complete, the Serving Equipment tab on the address in the maintenance table was populated with the Serving Equipment Code “ONT” that is tied to the imported Serving Area “BLNE.”
